hi — I'm Vlad. init.Habits is built by one person: me, from the Netherlands.

I spent years working with data and systems at big tech companies, staring at terminals and editors all day. every habit tracker I tried looked like a wellness brochure — gradients, mascots, confetti. I wanted one that looked like the tools I actually live in. it didn't exist, so I built it.

no company, no investors, no growth team. pro subscriptions pay for the servers and the coffee. that's the whole business model.

• +monospace is calm. one font, aligned columns, no visual noise competing for your attention.
• +streaks should be forgiving. one bad day shouldn't erase three months — that's why shields exist.
• +no feed, no followers, no shame mechanics. the app is a tool, not a social network.
• +it works without an account. your habits live on your device; cloud sync is optional, not a hostage situation.
• +every feature must earn its place. if it doesn't help you show up tomorrow, it doesn't ship.
